Escalator - Want You Back 09-17-08

Using traditional photographic techniques, ie composition, light and shadow, depth of field, focus, hyper-focal distance and color temperature I composed a video featuring Escalator as the two central characters. The imagery accurately represents the pace and mood of the various rhythmic sections of the song. It was a pleasure working with the boys from Escalator.

The Olympus Om-1 Legacy //35mm 09-11-08

Once in a blue moon a camera comes along that changes your life. This might sound like a bold statement but truly the 1980 Olympus OM-1 that I purchased for 69.99 at a Value Village on Hastings Street in Vancouver did just that. The design of the body is unprecedented, thick aluminum casing and a built in metered prism make it take-anywhere workhorse. The seconds it takes to wind and release is all the time you need to fall in love. Behold a collection of images on various film stocks from the past 16 months.

Emanuele Fontanesi is capturing points with film which are truly inspiring, his recent spread in PIG Mag was out of hand. He is responsible for putting the audience inside the moment, and I can’t stop thanking him.
